Petro Glyphs at the Overhung Cliff

We had an outing with my parents and grandparents. They wanted to see the waterfall from the reservoir overflow and so we hiked along the dam and overlooked the falls from the top.

Us with the girls (Derrick opted to stay in the car since the wind was SOOO cold).

My grandpa Erickson took us to see these petro glyphs. We heard that there were some but we didn't know where. Apparently, my grandpa had been there years ago so we hiked up the steep dirt road at the "overhung cliff" and Kevin scoped it out and found them. They are right on the edge of the cliff. The one rock is really amazing and there are other rocks with just a few.

New Airport

While my parents dropped in for a surprise visit we went and saw the new St. George Municipal Airport. I thought it was just in Washington Fields like everyone said. Well I guess it is if it takes 20 minutes to cross the fields, they're right.
The airport was really nice and I'm glad we were able to see it. Who knows when we would drive out that way again! Kevin's Aunt Lunetta was there with a group she works with, so it was fun to see her there too. The kids were given snacks from their group. I assume it is because they are irresistible children, or just that the group was really nice and my kids were hovering...And we did figure out what the U meant in SGU.

More fun in the Sun

My parents visited again and we took advantage of a warm day. This year's weather has been unusual with all the rain and cool temperatures. We rarely got a warm day. Even this day was not very warm but it was good enough for kids that were ready for some sun. My mom ended up taking these pictures and it was great how she accidentally got the Dixie "D" in the arch. We had another good visit.

My Parents Visit

My parents and sister visited and we had fun at the park and playing together. We went to Las Vegas together to see my nephew's baseball game (he's 5) the next day. We have seen my parents more and more since they have been checking out the real estate in the area and it has been fun to spend so much more time with them.

Visitors

We were able to visit with my parents while they came down to investigate the housing market down here. I went with them to see the homes available in the area and the kids enjoyed looking at a lot of empty rooms that echoed (especially garages). We were able to have dinner with my grandparents too at Iceberg. There were a lot of fries and ice cream to eat! I don't think we will have that problem when the kids are bigger.
